A lot of customers ask us what materials are needed or used. Naturally, most customers have their own input but below are the materials that we would normally use for a "standard" conversion" * 2 Large roof windows approx size 46'x 46' in main room * 1 small roof window approx size 26" x 26" in new hall * Stair case with handrail and spindles leading from existing landing to attic * 200 Square feet of flooring suspened on steel beams.(floating Floor) * Dwarf stud walls to purling level supported on steal beams * 100mm fibreglass insulation in walls * Thermal board insulation in ceiling void. (As per new building regulations) * High quality vapor barrier fitted through out * Both walls and ceiling covered with plasterboard and plastered to a smooth finish * 2 Access hatches into eve's area * Half hour fire door with partitioned wall in Attic or open plan with handrail and spindles * 6 x Sunken lights in ceiling if attic.(2 way switch from existing Landing and attic) * 2 Double Sockets * 1 x Smoke Alarm * Heating in room * Skirting board and trim fitted throughout the conversion |
